Laurence Smink is the founder and principal consultant at Intrsect, bringing over 25 years of expertise in branding and marketing. Laurence’s career began as a creative in agencies, where he quickly developed a passion for guiding organizations to reach their full potential through strategic branding and innovative marketing campaigns.

Throughout his career, Laurence has worked across a diverse range of industries, including hospitality, craft beer and spirits, financial services, and healthcare. He has successfully led clients from initial concept to market dominance, crafting strategies that make a significant impact.

Laurence has held key leadership roles both in agencies and in-house, where his campaigns and projects have earned recognition from esteemed organizations such as Applied Arts, RGD, IABC, and the Interactive Media Awards.

His work is distinguished by a client-centric approach that focuses on understanding each client’s vision, conducting in-depth market analysis, and collaborating to develop tailored solutions. At Intrsect, Laurence is dedicated to using his passion for storytelling and strategic thinking to transform businesses and build lasting connections with audiences.

Laurence studied at AUArts (formerly ACAD), McMaster University, and the University of Calgary. He is certified CDP by DesCan and is an active member of the Calgary Marketing Association.
